Computer Science students nearing their senior year in a BS program with a minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA can apply for the combined BSCS/MSEM pathway, provided they receive endorsements from three faculty members. Applicants must also complete an online application through the University Graduate School for MSEM program admission, meeting both the program's and Graduate School's requirements.
A single application to the combined degree program is sufficient, but it must be submitted to Graduate Admissions prior to beginning the final 30 credits of undergraduate study. Participants maintain undergraduate standing until applying for their bachelor's degree graduation, after which they attain graduate status and become eligible for assistantships.
The combined program allows students to apply up to three graduate-level Computer Science courses toward both degree requirements, potentially saving 9 credit hours. Participants must complete four courses from the specified list, with additional options available upon the program director's approval.
