Florida Tech pushes engineering, science, and technology students with a demanding academic program grounded in both independent and team-based research, cross-disciplinary coursework, and diverse hands-on learning opportunities.

The US Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Standards (BLS) publishes the Occupational Outlook Handbook, which details various professions including median salaries, work environments, employment projections, and more.

BLS data indicates biological scientist positions are anticipated to expand by over 20% by 2018. Biological technician roles are forecast to increase by 10% through 2022. In biotechnology fields, demand will grow for researchers creating high-yield, low-input genetically modified crops. Environmental scientists will also be sought to pioneer eco-friendly solutions and advance sustainable energy sources like biofuels and improved biomass alternatives.
