The humanities prelaw program offers an interdisciplinary curriculum designed to equip students with both exceptional academic credentials and the necessary qualifications for law school admission. Recognizing that law schools value well-rounded liberal arts backgrounds, the program immerses students in rigorous coursework spanning history, literature, philosophy, psychology, and political science. It emphasizes analytical reasoning, advanced writing skills, and comprehensive knowledge of societal structures.
A Prelaw Advisory Group, composed of distinguished practicing attorneys donating their time to mentor students, oversees the program. These professionals actively participate in curriculum development and frequently teach as adjunct professors, providing prelaw students with immediate access to real-world legal perspectives from the start of their studies.
The program culminates in a senior capstone project where students produce an original research paper addressing an important legal topic. This experience delivers hands-on practice, strengthens professional portfolios, and creates ideal readiness for either law school or direct entry into the workforce.
