Florida faces heightened vulnerability to cybercrime due to its heavy reliance on tourism, international finance, and technology sectors for economic growth. Yet the state struggles with a shortage of qualified cybersecurity professionals to meet industry demands. Numerous tech-driven fields - including IT, financial services, digital media, gaming, aviation, and aerospace - would gain substantial advantages from enhanced cybersecurity initiatives. Major corporations operating in Florida's tech corridor, such as IBM, Symantec, Boeing, and Lockheed Martin, exemplify this pressing need.
