The Biomedical Science concentration in the Integrative Biology program equips students with specialized knowledge and hands-on research training in biomedical sciences. The IBBS curriculum emphasizes both theoretical understanding and practical laboratory skills, while instilling proper scientific methodologies. Graduates of the IBBS concentration acquire the competencies required for academic and professional success. IBBS faculty members are leading specialists who mentor student research across diverse fields including Human Genetics and Genomics, Cancer Biology, Infectious Diseases, HIV/AIDS Research, Respiratory Sciences, Ocular Disorders, Breast Cancer Studies, Psychiatric Cardiometabolic Risks, Neurodegenerative Diseases, Vaccine Research, Musculoskeletal Disorders, Prostate Cancer, Cardiovascular Health, Pediatric Malaria, and more.
