Our programs offer the adaptability students require, enabling them to select from traditional or fully online courses while participating in diverse research opportunities, both locally in South Florida and globally. The Department of Geosciences provides undergraduate degree options for a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.), specializing in Geography or Geology. Additionally, students can pursue Certificate Programs in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), along with minors in Geography, Geology, or Geographic Information Science. Below are detailed descriptions of degree paths and prerequisites. A minimum grade of C is mandatory for all department courses counting toward degree requirements. Students must also fulfill the University's foreign language requirement for B.A. and B.S. degrees.
