Our Social Science Education program equips future teachers with the knowledge to instruct history, political science, and social studies for middle and high school students. The curriculum features two specialization options: 1) History Education, and 2) Political Science Education. This comprehensive program combines social sciences and humanities coursework with practical teaching methods. The culminating experience is a student teaching internship in the last semester.
Those pursuing a Social Science Education degree will gain expertise in key areas including: African civilization roots, the evolution of America's educational system across all levels, foundational teaching philosophies, and additional critical subjects.
