Our Mathematics Education program equips future educators to teach math to middle and high school students (grades 6-12). This program fulfills all academic prerequisites for obtaining Florida Mathematics Certification for secondary education.
Participants must complete a series of mathematics courses, building foundational knowledge crucial for effective math instruction at the secondary level.
The curriculum features specialized courses and practical experiences focusing on equity in education, math curriculum design, teaching methodologies, student learning processes, evaluation techniques, and educational technology. The program culminates with a student teaching internship in the final semester.
