The College of Education's core objective is to develop outstanding professionals equipped to work in academic environments as knowledgeable, skilled, proactive, and thoughtful practitioners. The Physical Education curriculum specifically trains students for roles as K-12 physical education instructors. Upon finishing all required coursework, passing the General Knowledge Tests and all sections of the Florida Teacher Certification Examination (FTCE), and completing their student teaching placement, graduates will receive professional educator certification for teaching physical education in Florida.
