Biological Systems Engineering (BSE) is an engineering discipline that combines principles from agricultural, biological, chemical, and engineering fields. The Bachelor of Science program in Biological Systems Engineering offers two specializations: (1) Bioprocessing and Food Engineering and (2) Natural Resources Conservation Engineering. The curriculum emphasizes core engineering principles while incorporating specialized coursework in agricultural, biological, and chemical engineering. This prepares graduates for advanced studies, professional careers, or engineering roles involving complex problem-solving and the design of innovative products and processes. PROGRAM ACCREDITATION: The Biological Systems Engineering bachelor's degree holds accreditation from ABET's Engineering Accreditation Commission.
