The Lee Gildart and Oswald Haase School of Computer Sciences and Engineering (GHSCSE) provides a Bachelor of Science in mathematics at its Metropolitan Campus in Teaneck, New Jersey. The program features three specialization tracks: Applied Mathematics, Pure Mathematics, and Pharmaceutical Biostatistics. Each track equips students for careers in various sectors including industry, government, business, or education, while also preparing them for graduate studies in mathematics, education, business, and related STEM disciplines—especially interdisciplinary fields like artificial intelligence, computer science, cybersecurity, data science, and machine learning. Students are advised to pursue a computer science minor, which can be readily achieved through elective coursework. Those opting for the applied mathematics track usually select electives in mathematics and related areas, emphasizing problem-solving techniques for quantitative fields. The pure mathematics track, by contrast, involves more theoretical electives designed to deepen foundational mathematical knowledge. Both tracks offer a adaptable curriculum that fosters rigorous analysis, logical reasoning, and critical thinking—skills essential for professional success and advanced academic pursuits. Students in these concentrations work with a school advisor to tailor their course selections and electives according to their career objectives and academic interests.
