The Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology program educates students in the planning, design, and construction of infrastructure and facilities. Civil engineering technologists are employed in fields including transportation, water systems, utilities, structures, pollution control, surveying, soil mechanics, and foundations. The B.S. in Civil Engineering Technology degree requires completion of 128 credits. The curriculum covers mathematics, basic sciences, English composition and communications, humanities and social sciences, and technical courses. Upon graduation, each civil engineering technology graduate will demonstrate the following competencies as mandated by the ETAC of ABET: The capability to utilize knowledge, techniques, skills, and contemporary tools of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology to address broadly-defined engineering problems relevant to the discipline; The ability to create systems, components, or processes that fulfill specified requirements for broadly-defined engineering problems within the discipline
