The mathematics Bachelor of Arts program equips students for careers in industry, government, business, or education, as well as advanced studies in mathematics, education, business, and related STEM disciplines, including emerging fields like artificial intelligence, computer science, cybersecurity, data analytics, and machine learning. Students can select from applied mathematics electives that emphasize problem-solving techniques in quantitative fields, theoretical courses that deepen mathematical foundations, or a blend of both approaches. The program strongly recommends complementing studies with a computer science minor, which can be readily achieved through elective choices. Regardless of their path, students benefit from an adaptable curriculum that fosters rigorous analytical skills, logical reasoning, and critical thinking - essential competencies for professional success and postgraduate education. Academic advisors from the school work closely with students to tailor course selections and sequencing according to individual aspirations. This degree is administered by the Lee Gildart and Oswald Haase School of Computer Sciences and Engineering at the Metropolitan Campus in Teaneck, New Jersey.
