The Rollins School of Public Health offers a combined Master of Public Health and Doctor of Philosophy (MPH-PhD) program. Applicants must submit separate applications to both the Rollins School of Public Health and Laney Graduate School.
Current Laney Graduate School students can apply for the MPH program during their doctoral studies, pending approval from their PhD program's graduate studies director.
Up to 10 semester hours of relevant Laney coursework may count toward the MPH program's 42-credit requirement.
Participants must complete full-time enrollment at Rollins for consecutive fall and spring semesters, fulfill a public health practicum, and complete either a capstone course, thesis, or special study project (depending on their Rollins department).
The MPH degree is awarded upon fulfilling all PhD program requirements.

Qualification Requirements

College transcripts: They should be sent directly to SOPHAS from each of the institutions you have attended. International transcripts require a WES evaluation.

Three letters of recommendation: We suggest you get them from your professor or advisor and/or from a recent work or professional reference.

A resume and be prepared to fill out a section on the application highlighting your skills, work history, and volunteer experience.

GRE test scores: The GRE is not required for admission to most of our academic programs and will not be considered as part of the application for admission. The department of Biostatistics offers a GRE optional policy. Students applying to BIOS can submit a GRE score for consideration. The GRE score must be submitted at the same time as the application for admission.

Scores should be no more than 5 years old. (Check your specific degree program to see if you can use MCAT, GMAT, or LSAT scores instead).
