The Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (ACPNP) program equips nurses with advanced skills to care for seriously ill children across various healthcare environments. Students learn to conduct comprehensive physical exams, analyze lab and diagnostic test results, prescribe medications, and administer treatments. The curriculum also focuses on addressing the health and developmental requirements of young patients and their families. Designed for working professionals, the online format eliminates the need to quit jobs or move to Atlanta while pursuing this Emory University certification. The program mandates 780 hours of supervised clinical training at locations including Children's Healthcare of Atlanta facilities (Scottish Rite and Egleston Hospitals), as well as pediatric and neonatal clinics throughout Macon and the Atlanta region.
