The Juris Doctor (JD) and Master of Public Health (MPH) dual-degree program enables students to earn both qualifications concurrently. This integrated approach equips students with specialized knowledge in legal matters pertaining to public health. Alumni of the JD/MPH program can pursue careers as public health experts with strong legal and policy understanding, or as attorneys focusing on healthcare-related legal matters.
Career opportunities include roles in governmental or non-governmental organizations, where graduates may shape policies, draft laws, or create regulations concerning nutrition enhancement, population management, women's rights advancement, refugee protections, or other public health initiatives worldwide. Other potential career paths include specializing in disability rights law, serving as legal counsel for healthcare institutions, working with public health departments, or holding comparable legal positions in the health sector.
All post-secondary education will include a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, as well as post-baccalaureate degrees and other coursework not undertaken for a degree.
