Emory's Master of Laws (LLM) is a flexible 24-credit program tailored for law graduates looking to enhance their legal expertise for career growth and academic development. Participants can design their coursework based on personal interests, choosing either a broad curriculum or specializing in one of Emory Law's renowned focus areas. The program features distinguished faculty, a multicultural student community, an intellectually stimulating urban environment, hands-on legal training opportunities, and an extensive international alumni network.
US-trained lawyers are defined as those who have earned a JD from an ABA-accredited law school;
Foreign-trained lawyers are those who have earned a first degree in law or its equivalent in a jurisdiction other than the United States. First law degree designations vary by country.
A minimum TOEFL score of 600 on the paper-based test, 100 on the Internet-based test, or 250 on the computer-based test is expected. Emory Law also accepts scores from the IELTS examination; a minimum score of 7.0 is expected.
Apply by November 15 to start in January or June 30 to start in August.
