During your first year, you'll attend the Law School, followed by the Business School in your second year. The third and fourth years can be dedicated to elective courses across both institutions. Alternatively, you could begin at the Business School after completing two years of Law School, though this might reduce some elective options. This four-year joint degree path provides three summer internship opportunities. Another option is to enroll in our One-Year Program right after your first or second year of law studies. Starting in summer, you'll undertake three consecutive semesters before rejoining the Law School. This accelerated track lets you earn the dual degree in three and a half years with a December graduation, but limits you to two summer internships rather than three.
Students must apply to the business school and law school separately. If a student is accepted to both programs, they can enroll in the JD/MBA. We look at test scores, GPA, work experience, essays, recommendations and interview when evaluating candidates.
Applicants to Goizueta Business School are required to take the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). Candidates should prepare vigorously for the quantitative portion of the test as candidates are expected to exceed the 50th percentile on the quantitative section of the exam. Most of our students score at the 75-80th percentile.
If you are an international applicant, you may need to submit TOEFL scores.
