Students pursuing a Creative Writing major need to finish five writing workshops (totaling 15-20 credits). They may substitute either an Honors course or one Independent Study for one workshop. A minimum of two workshops must focus on the same genre (such as poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, or dramatic writing). While continuing in the same genre as the Introductory course is recommended, it's not mandatory.
