The Applied Ethics and Practical Philosophy Certificate Program fosters the practical use of ethical and philosophical concepts to address issues in societal, political, economic, and cultural contexts. This program primarily aims to deliver philosophically grounded yet practice-focused training in ethics and normative theory. It equips Eastern Washington University students with cultural awareness, ethical reasoning abilities, and analytical skills needed to tackle challenges encountered by current and emerging professionals, policymakers, and the broader public. The curriculum ensures graduates master fundamental moral philosophy theories while gaining specialized expertise in applying these principles across various public sectors such as healthcare, governance, legal systems, policy development, corporate environments, and academic settings.
