The Master of Arts in Africology and African American Studies provides an in-depth exploration of the theoretical frameworks, practical applications, and critical analyses concerning the experiences of African diaspora communities. This program prepares graduates with high-level, diversity-focused expertise for leadership roles in diverse organizational settings, corporations, and businesses. Students can select between two pathways: an Applied track or a Thesis track, both centered on Africology & African American Studies. Regardless of track selection, participants must supplement their studies with a secondary focus area aligned with their academic background, career goals, or intellectual interests, chosen from collaborating departments throughout Eastern Michigan University's academic offerings.
