Qualification Requirements

Earned a four-year baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or an equivalent degree from a non-U.S. institution, 2) a minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale, or 3.0 in the last half of the undergraduate program.
Applicants in this graduate certificate program must demonstrate at least an intermediate-high level of Japanese proficiency using the ACTFL's Oral Proficiency Interview or Level 3 of the Japanese Proficiency Test developed by the Japan Foundation or equivalent.
Submit a copy of the Japanese Teaching Certification or Departmental permission.
Submit a personal statement, including reasons for pursuing this certificate.
