Earth System Scientists combine diverse disciplines to tackle major issues confronting our expanding world population, including rising sea levels, climate shifts, living near geological risks, and securing renewable energy solutions. As an Earth Science undergraduate pursuing Secondary Teacher Certification, you'll master applying scientific methodologies to deepen comprehension of Earth's four core systems - the Geosphere, Atmosphere, Hydrosphere, and Biosphere - and their interactions that create large-scale planetary events like climate variation. EMU's Geology Program concentrates on the Geosphere, while the Earth Science Program comprehensively covers all four systems. Prepare for a rewarding career as a secondary school Earth Science educator. This degree also opens doors to opportunities with Mining Corporations, Construction Firms, Environmental Consultants, Drilling Operations, Regulatory Bodies, Educational Institutions, Cultural Centers, Energy Sector Companies, Transportation Networks, Research Organizations, and Higher Education.
