As a student in the Bachelor of Science in Product Design Engineering Technology program, you will acquire the tools and abilities needed to progress from concept to finished product. Those enrolled in this major can participate in practical learning experiences where they construct their own designs, cooperative education and internships, design contests, scholarship opportunities, industry-sponsored projects, and a Master's in Engineering Management. Career options span automotive, medical, and consumer goods sectors, with roles such as product designer, mechanical designer, process engineer, product development engineer, quality engineer, and application engineer.
EMU admits students on a sliding scale based primarily on a combination of high school grade point average. If you have a high GPA, you may be admitted even if your test score is below our average. If you have a high test score, you may be admitted with a lower-than-average GPA.
