The Bachelor of Music in Music Performance program is designed for instrumentalists pursuing professional music careers. Participants enhance their abilities through focused one-on-one instruction with expert faculty members. They'll acquire performance experience by participating in various ensemble settings and presenting mandatory solo recitals during their junior and senior years. The curriculum includes comprehensive coursework in music theory, history, and core musical foundations. Numerous graduates advance to pursue master's degrees, with some continuing to doctoral studies. Advanced musical training can open doors to performance opportunities in orchestras, chamber groups, or as soloists. This program also prepares students for academic careers as university instructors or private music teachers, while others may blend musical expertise with other disciplines for multifaceted professional paths.

Meet the minimum requirement of 2.0 cumulative High School Grade Point Average or higher (on a 4.0 scale) for consideration.
EMU uses a test-optional admissions model for first-year admission.
A student with a cumulative high school GPA of 2.75 or higher will not be required to submit a standardized test score.
A student with a cumulative high school GPA of 2.5-2.74 will be considered test-optional. Upon review of application and academic history, standardized test scores may be requested if required.
At student with a cumulative high school of 2.49 and below will be required to submit a test score.
