The Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education with a Social Studies/Political Science Comprehensive Major equips you to instruct middle and high school students in History, Geography, Political Science, and Economics. This program integrates coursework across four key Social Studies areas—Economics, Geography, History, and Political Science—while providing comprehensive training in educational theory and classroom practice. Participants benefit from resources across both the College of Education and College of Arts and Sciences. You'll have access to academic advising, scholarship opportunities, and extracurricular activities through both your home department (History & Philosophy) and the Department of Teacher Education.

A student with a cumulative high school GPA of 2.75 or higher will not be required to submit a standardized test score.
A student with a cumulative high school GPA of 2.5-2.74 will be considered test-optional. Upon review of application and academic history, standardized test scores may be requested if required.
At student with a cumulative high school of 2.49 and below will be required to submit a test score.
