Students develop the ability to rigorously analyze both theoretical assertions and factual statements about politics, using evidence to form informed positions. The program encourages hands-on research collaboration with faculty, with many undergraduates presenting their findings at the annual symposium. Internship possibilities abound through departmental partnerships with municipal agencies and nonprofit entities. Three competitive academic teams—Mock Trial, Model UN, and Moot Court—operate under departmental guidance.
