The LIC program combines modern foreign language studies with international cultures, business, politics, and economics to equip students for dynamic global careers. You'll develop essential skills and knowledge to thrive in international settings and professional interactions. Your language proficiency will advance to confidently manage diverse real-world scenarios at an upper-intermediate level. Additionally, you'll explore unique elements of Hispanic culture and heritage. The curriculum includes immersive study abroad opportunities and local/international internships in multicultural environments. A French BA opens doors to international careers, healthcare, social services, translation, global communications, information technology, scientific fields, arts, education, diplomatic services, government roles, business sectors (especially Michigan's automotive industry), finance, and hospitality. A French major also provides excellent preparation for various graduate programs.

Meet the minimum requirement of 2.0 cumulative High School Grade Point Average or higher (on a 4.0 scale) for consideration.
EMU uses a test-optional admissions model for first-year admission.
A student with a cumulative high school GPA of 2.75 or higher will not be required to submit a standardized test score.
A student with a cumulative high school GPA of 2.5-2.74 will be considered test-optional. Upon review of application and academic history, standardized test scores may be requested if required.
At student with a cumulative high school of 2.49 and below will be required to submit a test score.
