To enroll in the MD/MBA dual degree, applicants must first gain admission to Quillen College of Medicine. The MD program's admission criteria are detailed in the Quillen College of Medicine Catalog. MD/MBA candidates must maintain simultaneous enrollment in both programs. The MBA application process is handled through ETSU's School of Graduate Studies. MD/MBA participants must meet the academic progression and completion standards of both programs independently. To receive both degrees, candidates must fulfill all graduation requirements for the MD and MBA programs. (Note: The articulated MBA can be obtained without completing the MD degree.)

Qualification Requirements
A student applying to the accelerated version of the M.B.A. program must be eligible for admission to the university as a graduate student. An applicant must have the support of his or her supervisor. Admission criteria include the applicant's undergraduate grade point average, professional experience as indicated on a current resume, three letters of recommendation, a letter of support from the applicant's supervisor, an interview, and an essay. The GMAT is not required for admission.
Applicants must send a letter to the Quillen College of Medicine requesting that the following application materials be sent to the ETSU Graduate School: (1) their application and (2) all transcripts from previous institutions
GPA-International applicants: 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
Graduate students whose native language is not English must submit one of the following:
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
Score of 79 (Internet-Based)
Score of 550 (Paper-based)
International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
