Duquesne University's Master of Arts in Theology program is deeply connected to its Catholic heritage while embracing the institution's broader mission. Through a combination of core classes, electives, and an optional six-credit thesis project, students will develop the ability to: Understand fundamental theological concepts from both Catholic and ecumenical viewpoints, Examine and thoughtfully evaluate historical and modern theological texts, Formulate coherent, personalized positions on key theological questions, and Acquire familiarity with diverse ecumenical, interfaith, and worldwide viewpoints that shape Christian theological and moral thought.
