Our 91-credit Psy.D. in School Psychology program at Duquesne University holds accreditation from the American Psychological Association (APA) and approval from the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). The curriculum aligns with the local-clinical scientist training model, emphasizing evidence-based approaches grounded in scientific research while considering contextual factors in real-world applications. Students develop skills to tailor research-backed interventions for diverse settings and populations. As part of this training model, every student completes an intensive year-long Applied Project focused on solving a practical challenge identified by a partner organization.
Upon graduation, students qualify for professional licensure and are equipped for careers across educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and youth service organizations.
