The Business Analytics Co-Major serves as a practical enhancement to current business degree programs and isn't offered independently. It centers on developing skills to interpret and present data-driven business insights across various fields, while minimizing complex scientific elements. Unlike some programs, it doesn't have additional prerequisites since Business Statistics is already part of the standard business curriculum for all majors. Over the past ten years, three interconnected fields have gained prominence: data science, big data, and data analytics. Our business analytics curriculum incorporates aspects from each domain, focusing on real-world business uses and competencies while avoiding the advanced programming and machine learning expertise demanded by data science programs.
