The Master of Science in Interior Architecture & Design (MSIAD) equips students from varied academic backgrounds to emerge as industry leaders in interior design. MSIAD candidates enter the program with bachelor's degrees spanning numerous non-design disciplines, with about 25% of each year's class comprising international students who contribute diverse perspectives and passion to the field. Typically, students finish the MSIAD program in three years, though this varies based on individual preparation and prerequisite fulfillment.
Being among the select CIDA-accredited graduate programs nationwide, MSIAD participants gain accelerated pathways to professional licensure while developing exceptional readiness for careers in interior architecture. The curriculum blends conceptual thinking, technical skills, and practical application across various spatial design challenges. Students engage with public, commercial, residential, and institutional projects, mastering how to reinvent spaces that meet aesthetic, social, functional, and emotional requirements. Official transcripts must be sent directly to Drexel from all of the colleges and universities that you have attended Please note that transcripts are required regardless of number of credits taken or if the credits were transferred to another school An admission decision may be delayed if you do not send transcripts from all colleges and universities that you have attended
International applicants are required to demonstrate English language proficiency by submitting scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL minimum scores 90 or 577 or 233 the International English Language Testing System IELTS minimum Overall Band Score 6.5 the Pearson Test of English PTE minimum score 61 or the Duolingo Test Duolingo minimum score 110 unless they meet the criteria for a waiver
