The Master of Science in Interior Architecture (MSIA) is a post-professional graduate program designed for individuals with prior education in interior design or architecture. The coursework strengthens core design principles, enhances technical abilities and creative methodologies, enables focus areas like health/wellness, fabrication, or digital representation, and concludes with an in-depth thesis project. Requiring 45.0 graduate credits, students typically finish the program in four to six academic quarters. The flexible curriculum includes studio courses, seminars, and electives that let students customize their educational path.
The MSIA program maintains strong ties with Drexel's Department of Architecture, Design and Urbanism, particularly the Design Research and Urban Strategy graduate programs, while also offering cross-disciplinary opportunities throughout the university. These academic relationships foster collaboration with specialists across multiple fields, equipping graduates for professional leadership positions. This program holds STEM designation.
