The Master of Science in Interior Architecture (MSIA) is a post-professional graduate program designed for individuals with prior education in interior design or architecture. The coursework strengthens core design principles, enhances technical abilities and creative methodologies, enables focus areas like health/wellness, fabrication, or digital representation, and concludes with an in-depth thesis project. Requiring 45.0 graduate credits, students typically finish the program in four to six academic quarters. Official transcripts must be sent directly to Drexel from all of the colleges and universities that you have attended Please note that transcripts are required regardless of number of credits taken or if the credits were transferred to another school An admission decision may be delayed if you do not send transcripts from all colleges and universities that you have attended

International applicants are required to demonstrate English language proficiency by submitting scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL minimum scores 90 or 577 or 233 the International English Language Testing System IELTS minimum Overall Band Score 6.5 the Pearson Test of English PTE minimum score 61 or the Duolingo Test Duolingo minimum score 110 unless they meet the criteria for a waiver

Portfolio
A portfolio is required The portfolio should demonstrate competency in design and technical ability including architectural drawing space planning material and furniture selection and presentation Submissions are recommended to include at least one complete design project and a variety of work showing the particular skills and sensibility of the applicant

Although requirements vary by program regular admission typically requires a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 B for undergraduate work The average for any graduate work must be at least 3.0 Applicants for post-master's status must show potential for further study by having maintained at least a 3.0 average in their masters-level studies Individual departmental requirements may exceed these minimums.
