Co-provided by the College of Computing & Informatics and the Bennett S. LeBow College of Business, the STEM-certified Master of Science in Business Information Technology (MSBIT) integrates business and IT viewpoints, enabling students to grasp technology's role within organizational settings. Graduates will learn how IT is administered in workplaces, how it addresses business challenges, and how it drives organizational change, effectively linking business and technology domains.
This cross-disciplinary curriculum strengthens students' technical and business expertise with hands-on learning opportunities. After mastering core IT and management principles, participants can specialize in two concentration areas: enterprise security, IT strategy and implementation, systems development, or digital innovation. Tailored for professionals with work experience and either technical or business foundations, the program offers flexible full-time or part-time enrollment with both on-campus and online options.
STEM-Certified Program Our MS in Business Information Technology holds STEM designation from the Department of Homeland Security. Eligible F-1 visa students may qualify for a 24-month OPT extension upon meeting specified requirements.
