Music serves as a universal language for conveying thoughts and feelings across all cultures. Grasping music means connecting with the core of human experience. It deepens our awareness of historical and social contexts while equipping individuals with professional skills. Versatile musicians find opportunities in diverse fields like recording studios, teaching, performing arts, and broadcasting.
For those pursuing a Music Major or Minor, faculty collaborate to design programs blending music history, theory/composition, and performance techniques. Students can participate in various ensembles including the University Chorale, Chamber Orchestra, Flute Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, and small groups, alongside individual instruction for piano, vocals, and all orchestral instruments.
