The Associate in Arts in Social Justice Studies for Transfer degree equips students with a community-focused approach to understanding inequality, bias, stigma, and discrimination, along with strategies for addressing and resolving these issues. The curriculum encompasses diverse subjects including sociology, interdisciplinary social sciences, history, psychology, theater, music, visual arts, and literature.
Earning this degree holds intrinsic value by preparing students to drive meaningful societal transformation. It also serves as a strong foundation for those pursuing careers in legal fields, criminal justice, social services, mental health professions, various social sciences, healthcare, education, government, business, or creative arts.
Student will qualify for admission with one of the following: a high school diploma, by passing the California Certificate of Proficiency Test or General Education Development Test (GED) or be at least 18 years old and no longer enrolled in high school.
