The English program at Diablo Valley College (DVC) provides students with comprehensive training in language, literature, and writing, equipping them for diverse professions and seamless transfer to UC, CSU, and other four-year institutions to complete their bachelor's degrees. DVC's English curriculum sharpens analytical abilities, logical reasoning, and verbal proficiency while laying the foundation for careers in legal fields, public service, corporate environments, media industries (including film, TV, and stage), marketing, publishing, and teaching.

Student will qualify for admission with one of the following: a high school diploma, by passing the California Certificate of Proficiency Test or General Education Development Test (GED) or be at least 18 years old and no longer enrolled in high school.
English Proficiency Tests:
