DePaul's Master of Science in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies, the nation's inaugural graduate program in this field, equips you with an ideal balance of academic knowledge and hands-on skills to support displaced populations globally. Through this refugee studies curriculum, you'll develop comprehensive expertise in legal frameworks, policy responses, and humanitarian interventions for forced migration challenges. The program combines coursework across multiple disciplines including law, history, public health, public administration, and international relations, supplemented by practical training with organizations serving displaced communities. Designed as a two-year program, most classes are conveniently scheduled for evenings at either our Loop or Lincoln Park locations.
