The Theatre School's Master of Fine Art (MFA) degree in Directing is a three-year program that allows directors to develop and explore their artistic vision and then apply their ideas through constant collaboration with other artists actors, designers, and dramaturgs. Coursework is focused on preparation research, theory and analysis as well as practical application through scene study, workshops and quarterly full-length directing assignments. The Theatre School's graduate program is a highly specialized conservatory offering two Masters of Fine Arts (MFA) degrees in acting and arts leadership. Each of our MFA degrees is designed to be a professional training program that provides our students with not only the skills but the experience necessary to help them advance their careers.

Qualification Requirements
If you attended a college or university outside of the United States for your undergraduate education, you must submit official educational credentials (transcripts, mark sheets, degree certificates) and an evaluation fee directly to one of three evaluation companies. The evaluator will then provide DePaul with a general evaluation of your studies and certified copies of your international educational credentials which will be used during the admissions review. It does not matter which company you choose to use, choose only one: One Earth International Credential Evaluation

IELTS - Required: 7.0 on the IELTS with all section scores of 6.5 or higher. We prefer to see IELTS scores of 7.5 or higher.
Required: 80 on the TOEFL with no subsection lower than 20. We prefer to see TOEFL scores of 96 or higher with all sections 22 or better.
