Discover innovative approaches to cultivate students' growth and their enthusiasm for global languages, intercultural awareness, and aspirations to engage as worldwide citizens. Through the World Language Education (MA/MEd) program, you'll integrate theoretical concepts and research with practical, technology-enhanced teaching methods that bring language acquisition to life in authentic contexts. You can opt to obtain an initial Illinois Teaching License (PEL) featuring a World Language Education (K-12) endorsement. Current licensed educators may supplement their PEL with this same endorsement. Select from nine language specializations: Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Russian, or Spanish. This two-year program offers flexible scheduling with evening classes at DePaul's Lincoln Park Campus, online formats, or a combination of both.
