The Journalism (MA) dual degree option is available to undergraduates from any major at the university. Prospective students should submit their application to the Graduate Admission Office during their third year. Upon acceptance, they can enroll in up to three graduate-level courses (12 credits) during their final undergraduate year. These credits apply toward both their bachelor's and master's degrees. The tuition rate for these courses matches the standard undergraduate fee structure. After completing their BA or BS degree at DePaul, students transition to graduate status to finish the remaining MA requirements. It's essential for students to consult with their undergraduate advisor to determine how graduate coursework satisfies their bachelor's degree requirements. Participants must achieve a minimum 3.0 GPA (B average) in all graduate courses taken during their senior year to remain eligible for the program.
