The Psychology Department aims to equip students with knowledge of both scientific and applied psychology's methods and subject matter. Classroom teaching serves as our principal approach to fulfilling this objective. We provide diverse psychology courses spanning multiple specialties, with certain classes incorporating labs centered on experimental and statistical studies. Several of these courses are now being introduced in fully online or hybrid formats (combining online and in-person instruction). Additional educational experiences include fieldwork, the Honors Program, Experiential Learning, Independent Study, and Internships. Our Internship Program offers supervised work placements where students can earn academic credits, with possible locations ranging from human service agencies to community and business environments. Those pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology must choose one of three specializations: General, Cognitive Neuroscience, or Healthcare. Students may only select one concentration.
