The joint degree equips environmental science/studies students with in-depth understanding of business operations and methodologies, emphasizing ecological sustainability, to develop future leaders for corporate, public, and community sectors. Upon admission to the combined program, seniors will enroll in three graduate-level courses. These 12-quarter-hour graduate courses will fulfill requirements for both the bachelor's degree (as specified below) and the master's degree. Candidates must submit a degree conferral application to qualify for graduation with either the BA in Environmental Studies or BS in Environmental Science before entering the MSSM program. A maximum of three graduate courses (12 quarter hours) can be applied toward both degrees. Please be aware that graduate-level coursework generally demands higher academic standards than undergraduate studies. Participants may select from the following foundational MSSM courses, with additional choices available through discussion with the MSSM advisor.
