Pursuing a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biological Sciences equips you with essential knowledge and skills for diverse careers in science, research, education, healthcare, and beyond. Through classroom learning and hands-on experiences, you'll develop independent thinking and teamwork abilities. Many faculty members lead their own research initiatives, providing opportunities to engage in multiple projects. Biological Sciences students are encouraged to participate in seminars and internships. For those pursuing teaching careers, the Department collaborates with the College of Education to offer teaching degrees. Additionally, we provide accelerated bachelor's/master's programs in Biological Sciences and Biological Sciences with Secondary Education, enabling you to earn both degrees in just five years. The Medicine and Health Concentration prepares students for healthcare professions by meeting prerequisites for professional programs.
