The Department of Psychology aims to equip students with knowledge of both scientific and practical psychology approaches.
We primarily achieve our educational objectives through classroom teaching. Our curriculum spans diverse psychology specializations, with certain courses featuring lab components focused on experimentation and data analysis. An increasing number of courses are now available in fully online or hybrid formats (combining online and in-person learning). Additional educational experiences include fieldwork, the Honors Program, hands-on learning, independent research, and internship opportunities. Our internship initiative provides supervised work placements with academic credit, available at various locations including social service agencies, community organizations, and business environments. Students pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology must choose one specialization from six options: Standard, Human Development, Human Services, Industrial/Organizational, Community, or the Comprehensive Evening Program. Only one concentration may be selected.
