The TEACH Program integrates a Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (LAS) bachelor's degree in Social Science (covering Anthropology, Economics, Geography, History, Political Science, or Sociology) or a Science and Health (Psychology) major with a master's in Education from the College of Education (COE). Upon completion, students earn either a BA or BS in their chosen field along with a MEd in Education, qualifying them for Illinois Secondary Social Science teaching certification. Applications for the TEACH Program are accepted in the spring of junior year. Participants must take the Junior Year Experiential Learning course, TCH 320, and fulfill additional requirements, such as completing at least 16 quarter credits at DePaul while maintaining a 3.0 GPA. In their senior year, students must finish the TEACH Program capstone course, TCH 390, plus three 400-level courses that apply to both their undergraduate and graduate programs.
