The Bachelor of Arts in Film and Television delivers a comprehensive foundation in production techniques, combining hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology alongside studies in film theory, history, and artistic principles. This program emphasizes a liberal arts perspective, providing wide-ranging exposure to various aspects of film and TV production, unlike the specialized BFA program which focuses on one of 11 concentration areas.
Recognized by industry leaders like The Hollywood Reporter, Backstage, Variety, and MovieMaker, DePaul offers students practical experience on active Chicago film sets. Students learn and create projects at DePaul's 60,000-square-foot Cinespace facility, located adjacent to major productions including Chicago Fire, The Bear, and The Chi.
