The integrated Bachelor's and Master's degree pathways enable students to earn 12 graduate credits during their undergraduate studies. These credits apply toward both degree requirements. The TEACH Program merges an undergraduate English major from the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (LAS) with a Master's in Education from the College of Education (COE). Graduates receive a BA in English and an MEd in Education, along with Illinois Secondary English Language Arts certification. This pathway permits undergraduates to count certain English major courses toward the MEd's English content requirements. Eligible students can apply in their junior year spring semester after completing TCH 320 (Experiential Learning) and meeting admission standards, including 16 DePaul quarter credits and a 3.0 GPA. During senior year, participants must take the TEACH capstone course (TCH 390) and three 400-level education courses that fulfill requirements for both degrees.
