Students pursuing the A.S. degree acquire foundational knowledge in Product Model Making. They are instructed in the safe operation of CNC machinery, the design and fabrication of three-dimensional items with CAD/CAM applications, and the evaluation of materials and techniques employed in prototype creation. Graduates are equipped for careers in design-phase product development, prototyping, and model fabrication settings.
Upon graduation, students will possess the skills to
Fabricate and examine machined components using both conventional and CNC machinery that operate with word address programming
Develop and build three-dimensional items
Generate part designs utilizing SolidWorks or Creo/Pro Engineer CAD applications
Distinguish and assess manufacturing materials and procedures
Generate tool paths from both created and imported designs using Mastercam
Students must upload an official school transcript. Students must be 18 years old to attend college. Students who are younger than 18 (but at least 16 before first day of classes) can attend with proof of secondary/high school completion or the equivalent.
